I have always had a slight infatuation with the people our society deems “socialites.” Perhaps I do not know the true meaning of the word, but in my mind a “socialite” is somewhat of a lady who lunches. With her fabulous friends of course, over lunch at The Plaza (all good things involve New York in my head apparently) wearing gorgeous designer clothing. After lunch, they go volunteer at various organizations or some variation of philanthropic duty. She gets attention for being social, and well, perfectly coifed at the same time.
