Lady Gaga was seen in the Tokyo Narita International Airport yesterday carrying a bag that was defaced using a black marker. The words “I love small monster, Tokyo Love” were scrawled in very neat Japanese characters across a Hermes Birkin bag.

A Hermes Birkin bag. Really Lady Gaga? Really?

Perhaps she is saying that we are not to be consumed with mass produced luxury goods. Or maybe to her,  $5000 (the starting price for Birkins) is chump change to spend on a bag.

I don’t get it, but I have come to expect this sort of thing from her. What do you think?
