Maybe fashion isn’t a man repeller after all! Perhaps all it is the right man will tolerate your addiction to all things fashion. Stylist Rachel Zoe’s husband sure does.
He recants to Harper’s Bazaar that when he met Zoe, she was a hostess wearing “a tight black minidress, high-heeled pumps, stick straight hair, and big red lips covered in MAC Chili lipstick (her trademark).”
I love that he knows the shade of her trademark lipstick! He also realized early on that she had a ton on clothes and has learned to deal with the chaos that comes with Fashion Week.
“Fashion Week can evoke a certain sense of accomplishment. Have you ever felt proud for walking through your hotel room without tripping, because there are enough tranny-heeled shoes on the floor to fill a transgender shoe store? Have you ever just left your hotel door open because its’ easier than getting up each time a package, flowers, or a gift arrives? Has your wife ever scoured four racks of clothing she had flown in for Fashion Week and declared, ‘I have nothing to wear?’ I can say yes to all.”
