Estee Lauder’s Wild Storm Spring Collection Is Pure Color

A package of goodies from Estee Lauder popped up on my doorstep earlier this week with some of the company’s new spring line, Wild Violet in it. I was sent the products to review for The Blay Report, but they were too much fun not to get any love here.

The candy colored collection boasts of violet, electric orange and cherry for the lips, muted neutrals for the eyes and a really pretty gray for the tips. To be completely honest, I can’t say that I ever really paid the company any mind. I didn’t think I fell into their demographic. If this collection is representative of the brand’s vision, then I haven’t been fair.

I received two Pure Color Lip Gelees (retail for $20) in Electric Cherry and Electric Pink. These are not as sheer as I expected. You know when you eat a Popsicle and it stains your lips? Well like that but shiny. I like it, these are definitely going into the rotation.

I was excited to see that there was a nail polish in the box too! You know all about my love affair with lacquer. Storm is a steel-y gray is perfect to balance out all of the vibrant color on your lips. I really like it.

This glittering gold tube of Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying mascara certainly did not disappoint me or my mom (who I gave the extreme indigo one). It made my lashes long, luscious and really soft!

Estee Lauder, my dear, I misjudged you.

p.s In this pic I am wearing Pure Color Lip Gelees electric pink and my luscious lashes are courtesy of Sumptuous Extreme.

The Estee Lauder Wild Violet collection is now available at Estee Lauder counters everywhere and esteelauder.com.
