Lately, the weather has been reminiscent of my winters spent in State College, PA. For those of you unfamiliar, the town sits on the top on of a mountain smack dab in the center of Pennsylvania. The weather forecast sounds a little something like this: Monday: High of 6, Low of 2 and Wind Chill -14. Tuesday-Sunday: exactly the same.

I kid. I’m just being dramatic. Kind of.

But living in such extreme weather conditions has taught me a few tricks to make sure that my skin does not resemble an alligator’s.

Use the most moisturizing body wash I can find. Right now, I am in love with:

L’Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil

This stuff keeps my skin, in a word, supple. But it should at $22 a pop. I have samples Eucerin version that would obviously be more purse-friendly but have yet to be able to locate it in Harrisburg. Sigh

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula

After using the shower oil, I rub the Palmer’s into my skin while it’s wet. I don’t even dry off. It makes my skin feel ah-mazing. By the time, I have brushed my teeth, I am already dry and soft.

Aquaphor

Have your feet ever been so crusty they snagged your sheets? No? Yeah, me either. But if I had such problems, I would load my feetsies up in this stuff, throw on a pair of spa socks and in the morning, my feet would be supple like the rest of my body.

Seriously though, I love this stuff, I have a tube for my feet and a tube I keep in my bag for my lips and hands. It is gooood stuff.Welp, there you have it folks. My secrets to supple skin in this crazy cold weather we are having. Did anyone else get a thundersnow storm? Whatever the heck that is? How are you keeping your skin soft? Please tell.
