Thanks to Jo Malone, I Can Drink My Tea and Wear It, Too

Thanks to Jo Malone, I Can Drink My Tea and Wear It, Too

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been a tea drinker. I don’t especially care for coffee, unless you count a latte, and to be honest by the time I get a double shot of this and and extra dose of that, it’s really not coffee.

So I was super excited when I was invited for tea in the city to preview the upcoming collections at Jo Malone.

My absolute favorite? The new Jo Malone Tea Fragrance Blends.

The collection consists of 5 scents that can be worn separately or together for a unique fragrance. I love that this collection was inspired by British tea time!

Plus, the you can combine your tea fragrance blend, with a spritz of Sweet Lemon or a splash of Sweet Milk. Don’t you love it??

Here’s a little info about each scent:

Jo Malone Assam & Grapefruit Cologne
Invigorating and upbeat, Assam & Grapefruit captures the qualities of that first cup of morning tea. Refreshing grapefruit and herbaceous Assam are blended with undertones of warm patchouli, spicy cardamom and almond. Add a creamy richness with a splash of Sweet Milk to deepen and sweeten the scent of black tea.

Jo Malone Earl Grey & Cucumber Cologne
A playful twist on the British tradition of high tea, cucumber sandwiches served with Earl Grey, distilled into a modern, intriguing scent. Fresh and fruity bergamot is cooled with cucumber and warmed with a base of beeswax, vanilla and musk. Refresh and uplift by layering with zesty Sweet Lemon.

Jo Malone Fresh Mint Leaf Cologne
A refreshing tisane of freshly picked mint, translated into a crisp, clear cologne. A blend of mint, basil and maté infuses this cologne with a green, leafy clarity, while a warm base is created by the partnership of cedarwood with musk. Think pretty and fresh by adding a mist of zesty, fruit-infused Sweet Lemon.

Jo Malone Sweet Lemon Cologne
Mirroring the custom of adding a slice of freshly-cut lemon or a sprinkle of sugar to a cup of just-brewed tea, Sweet Lemon is given a fruity twist with pineapple, peach and fresh green cypress.

Jo Malone Sweet Milk Cologne
Utterly English, a dash of sweet, creamy milk gives tea a rounded richness. The unique milk accord combines star anise, almond and vanilla to create a warm, comforting scent. Addictively sweet and unexpectedly fresh.

The Tea Fragrance Blends will be $55 each and and available for limited time at Jo Malone Shops, at jomalone.com, Bergdorf, Neimans, Sakes, Nordies, and Bloomingdales.

I LOVE it, and they all smell SO good! My personal fave is the Assam & Grapefruit with a spritz of Sweet Milk!

OH! WAIT! I’m not finished! Jo Malone will also be launching, just in time for Mother’s day, home candles by David Hicks.

In case you aren’t familiar, David Hicks is one of Britain’s most influential interior designers of the late 20th century. He was known for his mix of new and old prints and use of graphics that his son, Ashley remixed for each of the three candles.

The three scents in this limited-edition collection are Lime Basil & Mandarin in RivieraPomegranate Noir in Herbert’s Carnation, and Red Roses in Hicksonian. They retail for $65… ouch.

My fave is Red Roses in Hicksonian and I was super excited that was the scent in my gift bag!

Which I promptly handed over to my Mother. I wouldn’t even appreciate a $65 candle, and she loves Jo Malone so it was a win-win for her!

    The Absent Game

In between me and my husband we have owned a lot more MP3 players over time than I can count, which includes Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few several years I’ve settled down to one line of players.
