It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The September issues are on newsstands. I miss when I was in school and I would go through my favorite glossy’s fall issues and make a checklist of things I wanted to try for the upcoming season.

Essence magazine is one of my favorites this month, and it looks the best that it has looked in years (to me, anyway). Not only does the issue feature one of my favorite editors of all time, Jessica Andrews, but also some of the leading ladies in fashion. Ladies that I look up to.

Like June Ambrose, Tracy Reese, Tai Beauchamp, DJ Kiss, Bevy Smith, and Claire Sulmer.
