#NYFW Day Three: Prim & Proper

#NYFW Day Three: Prim & Proper

Day Three of New York Fashion Week was everything a girlie girl like me could ask for. It seems like most designers are taking it back to when ladies looked like ladies: prim and proper.

Christian Siriano has come so far yet hasn’t changed. He incorporated staples but gave me the bold glamour he’s been bringing since his Project Runway days. Like the nude top with the chartreuse maxi skirt. Isn’t it lovely?

Vivienne Tam sent a collection down the runway that it would almost be impossible not to feel like a lady in with all the chiffon, cropped trousers and tailored blazers. Oh, and the feather-like dress above? I’ll take that.

Duro Olowu’s Spring ’12 collection was an upbeat one with tons of color and ethnic prints. I’m happy to see maxi dresses will transition with us into the spring. Don’t you just love this silk printed one shown?

Erin by Erin Fetherston always gives me something really girly and a good party frock. This Spring collection with do the same. Can you see I’m having a bit of an affair with maxi dresses right now?

Monique Lhuillier tried her hand at sportswear for women and I have to say, I like it. She usually creates for star-studded red carpets but this collection looks like something the average woman might wear.

Do you like any of the looks above?
