Friday was a rainy day but Blaze Solar Active Color Changing Nail Polish was a tropical vacay in a glass!

Here’s how the polish works: “Blaze Nail Polish uses Solar Active technology to change colors when exposed to UV rays.”

On first thought, I really liked the way the polish applied. The finish of the three I tried were really shiny with a jelly consistency.

Because it was raining and I couldn’t test this, I decided to be resourceful. I used my LED portable light courtesy of Red Carpet Manicure.

The dryer is supposed to be a safer alternative to UV Light so I decided to stick my fingers under the light to see if the polishes would change colors.

And they did! Well, almost.

The pink on my pinky and finger turned into a plum, the orange on my middle finger was supposed to turn red, and the blue on my pointer finger and thumb was supposed to turn green.

I wasn’t upset because of how cool the purple looked when it started to fade back to it’s original color. I literally had to keep putting my nails under the light to be able to photograph it, the polish changes really quickly.

I’m thinking I might have to give that blue another spin. Either blue or green would be pretty fun for the fall don’t you think?
