I got an accidental–well, let’s say unplanned–haircut today. I know I was justcomplaining about not being able to handle my roots while transitioning out my relaxer.

I love my hair again. All I needed was a clarifying shampoo, conditioning treatment and a good blowout. But now, I’ve lost my length.

It was dead hair that made my hair look dirty when it was clean. Do you know what I mean? When your hair never hangs right because it needs trimmed?Welp, that’s gone now. It had to go but isn’t crazy how attached we can be to our hair?

Anyway. I took my haircut like a G in a DKNY cozy. You know the sweater that you can wear fiftylven different ways?

And then headed into J.Crew because, well, I’m a J.Crew groupie and I needed my fix. Sigh, don’t you wish life was like a J.Crew catalog?

The countdown’s on until 2012!
