Every year the Pantone Color Institute deems one lucky hue the year’s ‘it’ color. This year? Tangerine Mango takes that honor.

In a statement, executive director Leatrice Eiseman says:

“Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.”

This shouldn’t be too much of a shock considering the color was all over NYFW Spring/Summer 2012 runways. Remember this:

 

Tangerine Tango was all over New York Fashion Week: makeup, nails, and clothing. I already got a jump on adding the color to my wardrobe.

I will definitely be rocking this trendy color. What about you? Will tango with tangerine in 2012?
