The men in my life–my dad and brother–are not big on compliments. You all are aware of my brother’s running (unsolicited) commentary on my fashion choices. My dad on the other hand will offer a comment or two if you ask his opinion but he doesn’t usually comment.

Unless we look bad (my mother and I). Then he notices.

Oh, and these boots. He noticed these. He walks in the house and after seeing them goes, “Those are some fancy-looking boots you have on, Channing!”

Go figure, right? But I guess I owe my BFF a hug because she bought them for me as a Christmas gift.
