Growth is a strange thing, isn’t it? You never really see it until something so simple shows you just how much you’ve changed.

I watch Sex and The City all the time. Duh, right? The series inspired this blog.

There is an episode for just about about every emotion or situation. The funny thing is, when I first starting watching, I thought Carrie could do no wrong.

Now, when I watch? Not so much. Carrie was very much a factor in everything that happened to her. I hate to say it, but Carrie made some really bad decisions.

And, she should have married Aidan (LOL spoiler alert).

I decided the other day that I wanted to be more Charlotte than Carrie.

Then I rewatched my favorite season–six–of Sex and The City. And I remember why I loved her so hard in the first place.

Besides the fact that she’s a writer who lives in New York. Not counting her love for fashion. We don’t even have to include Big in the scenario.

I love Carrie because of her love of love. Her love of her friends, her love of relationships but best of all the way she’s learning to love herself.

And she goes after what she wants in pursuit of that love–bad decisons and all.

I think I may still have a little more Carrie in me.

But she still should have married Aidan.

p.s., I’ve been itching to wear this tutu forever! But wasn’t sure how to wear it and not look costume-y or like I was trying too hard.

And then I saw in InStyle magazine’s ‘Ask A Designer’ column with Rachel Roy, she suggesting wearing masculine pieces to balance out the frilliness of the skirt. How’d I do?
