The Chase

The Chase

Over the weekend, I went with my parents to visit The Barnes Foundation in it’s new home in downtown Philadelphia.

To move the art exhibit from its original home was controversial to say the least.

The collection– including 60 Matisses, 44 Picassos, 14 Modigilianis, 181 Renoirs and 69 Cezannes– was started 1912 after Dr. Albert Barnes sold his company producing pharmaceuticals like Argyrol, that he and a partner created, to concentrate on collecting art.

In a way that no one had ever done before. And was mocked. No one really understood his vision.

But isn’t that how it always is, though?

All Dr. Barnes wanted to do was to teach people to think critically about art. And chased that vision wholeheartedly.

Isn’t that inspiring? What are you chasing? How was your weekend?

Oh, and p.s. this happened:

It’s not a lot but it’s the rest of my relaxer. I braced myself for some dramatic haircut and it didn’t happen. LOL

I believe technological innovation just can make it worse. Now there is a channel to under no circumstances care, now there won’t be considered a possibility for them to find.

    The Absent Game

Between me and my husband we’ve owned extra MP3 gamers through the years than I can count, which includes Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few several years I’ve settled down to one line of gamers.
