Through The Wire. Literally.

Through The Wire. Literally.

I need to tell you that I finished The Wire two weekends ago.

I. Finished. TheWire.

And I completely understand the hype. The writers behind that show are the stuff made of WIN. I want to talk about it so bad but I won’t. I don’t want to give away anything.

I accidentally heard something mentioned in an interview that made reference to the show, though I had no context to put it in, once I understood what the person meant, it was a spoiler. I don’t want to do that to you.

Here’s the thing that makes this show so genius, though: it’s the perfect little time capsule. There was a time when we didn’t text message or spend all day attached to something connected to the Internet.

I want to call it a simplier time but the show’s themes still exist today. The character development was awesome.

I literally miss certain characters. I grew to love–and hate–a few of them.

I had to take a little breather at one point during season four because it was hard for me emotionally. Amid all of the drama, social commentary, there were these people who I feel like I’m better for knowing.

It sounds weird to say that but I do.

Am I being weird?

Side note, I wish I had this dress in multiple colors. It’s so perfect for so many occasions. And if I’m running late and not sure what to wear, I can put this on with accessories and it looks intentional.

Told you I’m in love with over the knee socks and those boots.
