Isn’t it inspiring to think of women who have literally built their own careers off of passions? On my professional vision board–I did two, one personal, one professional, both in the shape of a heart (desires of my heart, get it?)–I have a collage of words about pictures of Lena Dunham and Jenna Lyons that says: She Designed Her Own Career… Just Watch.
I have this strong urge to scream a Trinidad James lyric at you, ‘don’t beleeeeeee me, jussss watch…’ But I’ll act like I have some couth.
I don’t know where I was going with that opening except that this year is already proving to be some kind of wonderful for people who are crazy enough to chase their dreams. Count me all the way in. Ugh, here come the Trinidad James lyrics, again, LOL.
And no, I still am not wearing a coat. I prefer to bundle up with layers. It makes things much more interesting, I think.
I cut my hair this weekend. It’s about as long as it looks from the little bit you can see hanging out of the hat. I got bored. This should be interesting. I thought I’d feel like a boy since I was finally starting to get my length back and then to go so short that I can’t even have a ponytail… We’ll see how this goes.

Okay, that vest and that lipstick is really giving me life right now…As for my hair, I had to get it tripped almost three weeks ago but nothing too drastic. But I understand needing a change. I usually color my hair when I need a change, but I have had my “chop it off” moments. But my hair dresser is unwilling and always talks me out of it or tells me that she wants me to think it through and come back so she can do it the next time I come in (it never happens…Lol).
