Prior to New York, I used to take foooooooooorever to get ready. Like I need a half an hour for my shower–minimum–and 45 minutes to get dressed if I don’t have an idea of what I want to wear. When I was in Paris with my girls and my mom, they made me start my process first because I take so long.
Yeah, no. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
I much rather sleep as long as I can before I fling myself from the bed to start the day. My roommate is the sweetest though, she makes, not with a Keurig like I usually do, but brews us coffee in the morning. And that helps, a lot. After I’ve got a few sips of coffee and can see what’s what, I can be ready to go in like, 30 minutes. That’s pretty huge for me. Re-read the first paragraph so you know it’s real.
It doesn’t hurt that I’m incorporating Spring into my routine, now that I’m a member of Glam.com’s Beauty Board.

I cheat a little bit, at night I wash my face and apply my Differin and then in my mornings, I just put on my some primer. Here’s where the fun starts, I apply Oil of Olay’s Color Recapture Cream–look at me being all trendy with my skin care. The CC creak makes me feel good because it has a broad spectrum SPF so I really am correcting some of my pigmentation issues. Plus it provides just a wash of color so I don’t scare people. Next I rub a little Benefit Fine One One on my cheeks and lips–woot woot for multi-tasking. After I curl my lashes, I apply Maybelline Volum’ Express The Rocket mascara on the bottom and top of my top lashes, it gives me a doe eyed look like I slept for more than 5 hours.
Rub a little Biolage Exquisite Oil on my hands, quickly run my hands through my hair and I’m done. Well, kind of. I do one last spritz of Kenzo’s Amour I Love You, it smells like non-grandma-ish roses, I really like it. I put Burt Bess lipgloss over the Benefit Fine One One, that is now a stain, for an effortless (but not really), oh me? I just woke up like this. Hair and makeup perfectly undone.

I think the reason that I am able to slip out of the door so quickly is because I, well once I moved into my apartment, I get a lot accomplished in the shower. After I shave using the Gillette Venus & Olay razor with the EOS shaving cream, I rub the First Aid and Beauty Ultra Repair Cream in while my skin is still wet. By the time I wake up, I don’t even need lotion, my skin is still soft and supple. Even after walking in the cold, so you know this combo is legit.
Because I’m a cuticle picker, do not judge me, I like to keep Nail Spa coco mango nail butter in my bag for touch-ups doing the day so I don’t do any damage.

I must say though, the best part about my night routine, beside the Differin that I need for those pesky pimples, is Philosophy’s Miracle Worker eye repair, because this thing is really impressive. So impressive that I feel like I should pass it on to my mom. I’m not saying she needs it, I’m just saying I think she would appreciate it. I’m such a good daughter, right?
Fondling all of these Spring products makes me wish I could wear a cute Spring dress to go with it.
Sigh.
Soon enough, though, soon enough. What are you favorite products for Spring?

I’m using the Philosophy eye cream too! I got a sample from my job and fell in LOVE! I’ve been wondering about that Ultra Repair Cream, sounds like another beauty addition. Thanks for the rec.
