So here’s the thing about working in fashion. Sometimes I get brand envy. I’m at events with fabulously dressed women dripping in labels, nothing flashy, but if you know, you know, that sort of thing.

Also–I know that just because you can afford a certain designer label that doesn’t equal style. I know. I’m just saying I get brand envy.

Working TJ Maxx the last month and a half, has helped. I know that I can hit up their Runway section and get great designer names at almost half off. Like this outfit, I asked you guys what you thought of the silk pajama top trend, most of you suggested that I wear it with skinny jeans and heels.

Which I did.

I like it, and every times someone complimented me and I said I was wearing head-to-toe TJ Maxx, no one believed me. While I’m wearing fancy department store names, I didn’t pay those prices. I have to say when I saw these shoes, though, I literally did a double take. I had one of those moments, like when Carrie was in the fashion closet at Vogue trying to squeeze her foot into Manolo Blahnik patent leather mary janes, like pleeeeease fit.

Though these aren’t Manolos :-p
