It’s so funny how quickly things change.

When I was 12, I wanted nothing more than to wear overalls with glitter Doc Marten-esque boots from Playless.

When I was 22, I would spend hours trying to find the right snippet of my favorite song to make as a ring tone for myself or my friends. Remember when you would gave someone a specific song?

My phone never rings anymore. Well, it does, but I keep it on silent (you can really tell when I like someone, I turn the volume back on) and it definitely isn’t about to blare some offensively loud song lyrics.

Random, am I the only one who gets a weird sense of nostalgia whenever I hear a song that I once spoke so deeply to who I was as a person that it needed to be my ringer? I heard Verbz “Shopaholic” the only day and immediately thought of my Blackberry with the rainbow LED notification light.

I am, however, returning to my love of overalls. I’m trading the turtlenecks and glitter boots for sartorial choices more suitable for a 27-year-old.
