In 2009, Channing Hargrove graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Penn State University. Searching for a job during the most difficult time since the Great Depression wasn't an easy task, therefore the aspiring journalist decided to turn her focus to her love for beauty and fashion and create a personal style and beauty site Channinginthecity.com.
 
What began as a showcase of her writing skills along with her love for nail lacquers and sequins, turned in to something beyond what she could have ever imagined. 

Fast-forward three years later, Channing is a freelance writer for some of the largest online publications in the business including Vibe Vixen, Essence Online, Glamazons Blog and more. Hello Beautiful even named her as one of their “Top Women Under 30 To Watch” and Essence dubbed her as a“fab fashion blogger". 

With such stature, Channing is determined to make the transition from a small time Pennsylvania girl to a successful big time city woman. Her blog Channinginthecity.com has launched a realm of endless possibilities and she is blogging and vlogging her way to the city where all dreams come true, New York City.
