There’s been all this talk online that there is too much diversity on TV. The few scripted dramas that are centered around the lives of brown people are, now, considered #tewmuch. I like seeing my image on TV. And it makes me think about the kind of content...

Wearing ASOS dress, Kate Spade necklace, DVF pumps, Marc by Marc Jacobs Fran Tote on Park Avenue in New York City I kind-of miss when my blog read more like a diary. So in an effort to work on that and venture out, actually showing New York life on the blog, I created a bucket list of tourist-y things that I want to do. The idea is I will take the required outfit of the day photos—finally acknowledging the fashion blogger part of me—hopefully have a cool experience, reporting back with a story. Hold me to it. And to hold myself accountable, I’m going to tell you the NYC attraction checklist that I have. If I do not report back with outfit photos and a corresponding story for each of these places by August 13, 2015 (giving myself a year to properly plan these excursions), cuss me out.

There is little that I enjoy more than getting a blowout. Couple that with a drink in hand courtesy of Baileys and I'm one happy blogger. Such was life last night when Baileys invited a glam group of bloggers to taste their new Vanilla Cinnamon...

Let's forget for a second that I ever mentioned A$AP Rocky and his Addy braids on this site. I'm not going to lie, he did pique my interest, but never in the way that this particular Detroit player did. So when my friend texted me during...

People always talk about branding yourself. Branding this, branding that. The other day one of my co-workers noticed that I may or may not smile every time a certain someone's name pops up in my phone. "He can't be busted," he told me. "Think of the...

I feel really blessed. And really grateful. On the way to work last Wednesday morning, I was reading Lean In, and I missed my stop. That has never happened to me. But between Sheryl Sandberg's words and Beyoncè's "Run the World," blasting in my ears, I was...

Listen to me. You don't know struggle until you've tasked yourself with drinking half your body weight in water--wearing a romper. I'm the kind of person who waits until the very last second to go to the bathroom. The. last. second. I stupidly wore this romper to work,...

My mom came to visit last weekend. Pause for a huge smile. It was nice. She brought some of my things from home, so I could start moving out of my suitcases and start feeling like I belong. Here's thing though, she had been talking about this...
