23 Aug Kimora Lee Simmons Has Stepped Down For Baby Phat
I’m going to share something with you and I don’t want you to judge me.
There was a time during my freshman year in college, when every Friday my friends and I would raid 7twenty7 downtown for the latest anything to wear to the parties that weekend.
And usually, that anything was Baby Phat. Yes, we wore those Baby Phat cats on earrings, chains, purses, jeans, you name it, and we had it.
So it saddens me a little that Kimora Lee Simmons is stepping down from Baby Phat. She is leaving Phat Fashions (the label that oversees Baby Phat and Phat Farm). Simmons is parting ways as of September 1st. She will still oversee her other three fashion lines: KLS, Kouture by Kimora and Fabulosity.
Even though I have outgrown that Baby Phat cat, I feel like I should spritz myself with my old bottle of Baby Phat Goddess perfume and go read Fabulosity: What It Is and How to Get It.
It is the end of an era.
