Every year the color experts at Pantone announce the color of the year. Last year was all about the turquoise. This year the Pantone Institute announced that the color of the year would be honeysuckle.

According to the color experts, honeysuckle is a “reddish-pink shade that provides a nice healthy glow to the skin and said to be alluring, engaging and uplifting.” “In times of stress, we need something to lift our spirit,” said color expert Leatrice Eiseman. “Honeysuckle is a captivating, stimulating color that gets the adrenaline going- to ward of the blues.”

Interesting, in 2011 we will want to ward off the blues with our clothing and this year we couldn’t get enough of the (turquoise) blue.  Turquoise was everywhere, our eyeliner, nails, clothing and shoes.

p.s. Am I the only one that thought honeysuckle was yellow?
