You may or may not have noticed, I have a slight obsession with the movieBreakfast at Tiffany’s. I celebrated it’s 50th anniversary and contemplated begging on the corner to be able to afford a night in the Tiffany’s suite at the St. Regis hotel. And now, Holly Golightly’s apartment is for sale!
This is what it looks like now:

The apartment is back on the market after, according to the New York Times, Peter Bacanovic, the owner, was sentenced to 5 months in prison for his role in that whole Martha Stewart insider-trading fiasco.

Well, he now “wants to make a change.” He bought the house for $1.88 million back in 2000 and is now asking $5.85 million for it.

Should we pass around a collection plate?

The house looks like nothing it did when Holly lived there, though. Apparently, the four story home is now divided into two duplex apartments but can easily be converted back into a single family home for us to live in.

The house is located at 169 East 71th Street and I’m kind of mad at myself for never stopping by to see it and snap a picture or two.

I mean, I visited Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment, so visiting Holly’s apartment would only make sense. Right?

About that collection plate, who’s in?
