I used to think that lace was only for dollies, is that what they’re called? The things you put on your table? But now, I know better. In fact, I really like lace. Especially when it’s in hot pink.

Monday night when I got back from the funeral—wait quick story: I had the cutest Moroccan cab driver. He showed me pictures of his Jamaican girlfriend, told me about his house he just built in his country, chatted with me about hair, Moroccan oil, and Sex and the City. 

Hmmk, so after the Moroccan dropped me off, and I get my pink suitcase up the four flights of stairs, Marie pops her head in to say hey. She can’t get over how much pink I have. Pens, stationary, my suitcase, jeans, the sheets on my bed. All pink, hot pink. This all makes sense the more I get to know you she said.

I like how girly pink is, but hot pink is like, pow! And then says thank you, because she’s a lay-dee.

Kind of like this Merona skirt from Target. Lady like in shape: pencil skirt and texture: lace. But pow! Because it’s hot pink.

I swear Target, you do this to me every time. Every time. I just can’t get enough of you.
